I have 3 very old books that needed to be stored in an acid-free box. I have no idea why these acid-free boxes are so expensive, but this one was $10 cheaper than the others. I was afraid this is going to be two too cheap to use, but it's decent enough. I don't think this is as heavy and reinforced on the corners as the others, which I believe have metal reinforcements, but this works fine for me. I don't plan on storing extremely heavy things in it. It is actually much more spacious than I imagined. So, I definitely would recommend this for photos, or in my case, very old manuscripts. That being said, I think all of these acid-free boxes are priced too high. But this is the most reasonably priced one I could find. Is there something in the acid-free process that should make it so expensive? I wonder ?. The only other thing I would say on this box, is that it has a metal name tag holder, but doesn't provide any inserts. That's just a strange thing to me.
